Mid-Del Youth and Family Center's shelter is a 24 hour, 7 days a week, 365 days a year facility. The shelter is a home away from home for children and adolescents who are victims of abuse and neglect or are experience significant family stress requiring a short respite period. The Mid-Del Youth and Family Center Shelter also works in conjunction with the Midwest City and Del City Police department as an emergency placement for runaway children or adolescents.
The goal of the Mid-Del Youth and Family Center shelter is to provide a home environment to encourage the children and adolescents to feel physical and emotional safety.
